Job Summary

Part timePosition Summary and Qualifications:
Adjunct Instructor to teach HSC110: Introduction to Health ProfessionsThis first year introductory course covers the historical foundations of medical practice current systems of care models and theories of health behavior and patient care as well as introducing the many career opportunities in the health professions. Staff from the Career Center present information on career exploration and internships.

Essential Duties:
Facilitate activities in a variety of different learning environments using pedagogical approaches including lectures small group discussions patient or healthcare professional role play simulations and patient care discussion
Evaluate student performance and learning when applicable consistent with course requirements
Prepare and deliver class sessions to Doctor of Pharmacy and other health professional learners
Complete responsibilities of course team leaders if applicable including the above in addition to developing and managing syllabus materials coordinating course needs with departmental chair submitting grades in a timely manner per university policy and reporting student learning outcomes
Perform other related duties as assigned by either the Chair or faculty course coordinator/team leader
Secondary Responsibilities:
Interacting with other members of the instructional team.
