The opportunity:

The SCM & Logistic Specialist at Hitachi will be responsible for optimizing and managing the end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations to ensure efficient material flow cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of products and services.

How youll make an impact:

• You will develop implement and monitor supply chain strategies to improve efficiency reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.

• You will manage inventory levels including forecasting demand planning procurement and optimizing warehouse operations coordinate with suppliers manufacturers distributors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

• You will negotiate contracts and establish strong relationships with logistics providers freight forwarders and customs brokers analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks inefficiencies areas for improvement implementing solutions as needed.

• You will oversee transportation and distribution activities including route planning carrier selection and tracking shipments.

• You will ensure compliance with all relevant international and domestic trade regulations customs requirements and company policies collaborate with internal departments such as production sales and finance to align supply chain activities with business objectives.

• You will implement and maintain supply chain management systems and tools to enhance visibility and control prepare reports and presentations on supply chain performance key metrics and strategic initiatives.

• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background:

• Bachelors degree in supply chain management Logistics Business Administration or a related field.

• 10 years of experience in supply chain management logistics or a similar role within a manufacturing or technology-focused industry.

• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CSCP CPIM) is a plus. Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g. ERP systems SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.

• Proven experience with inventory management demand forecasting and warehouse operations.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Strong understanding of international trade regulations customs procedures and transportation modes and excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
