Hours

  • 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday- Friday)
  • Overtime as needed (including Saturdays)
  • Availability during holidays

Compensation

At S&C we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $39600 - $49500. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors including performance knowledge job-related skills and experience and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&Cs annual incentive plan (AIP) subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate about Facilities Maintenance S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate ourFacilities function. As aMaintenance Service Specialist youll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.Our Maintenance Service Specialist coordinates the administrative operations for the Facilities function. The position is responsible for supporting a variety of administrative functions including help desk support procurement training coordination vendor coordination and KPI reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule all preventive maintenance (PM) activities to ensure timely completion

  • Ensure all required parts tools and materials are available and properly kitted before scheduled maintenance.

  • Monitor PM compliance and report on completion rates and outstanding tasks.

  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to meticulously track all maintenance activities including work orders repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Maintain accurate records of PM schedules parts usage and kit preparation.

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to schedule maintenance tasks efficiently.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance workflows and reduce delays.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for PM coordination between operations maintenance and stockroom teams.

  • Coordinate with external service providers for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.

  • Develop and manage the annual schedule for preventative maintenance activities coordinating with external vendors as needed to ensure necessary (PM) preventative maintenance tasks are completed.

  • Compile month-end reports for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the facilities function.

  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.

  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What youll Need To Succeed:

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

  • 1 years of demonstrated experience in maintenance coordination or related field.

  • Experience working with procurement processes particularly in Oracle or similar systems.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal departments and external vendors.

  • Basic knowledge of Health Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations and best practices.

  • Ability to compile data and generate meaningful reports.

  • Posses a proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete activities with accuracy.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach other team members fostering their professional growth and skill development.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools (ie. Outlook Excel Word Powerpoint etc).

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Business a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Physical demands:

  • Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
  • Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).
  • Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.
  • Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
  • Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.
  • Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.
  • Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
  • Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
  • Other: Respirator certification required.
