Role Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a highly skilled and independent Ultrasound / Vascular Technologist (RDMS) to join a diagnostic imaging team in Syracuse NY. This opportunity is ideal for a self-directed professional who excels in an autonomous clinical environment and prefers a consistent four-day work schedule.
The technologist will be responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment performing high-quality diagnostic examinations and supporting the daily operations of the sonography lab while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging:
Perform complex ultrasound and vascular examinations using independent clinical judgment to distinguish normal anatomy from pathological findings.
Clinical Communication:
Collect and assess relevant patient medical histories; accurately document and communicate clinical findings to the interpreting radiologist.
Laboratory Operations:
Support daily sonography lab operations including patient flow coordination and workflow efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct routine equipment checks maintenance and participate in Quality Assurance (QA) activities to ensure optimal imaging performance.
Patient Care:
Deliver compassionate professional care while maintaining a safe and respectful clinical environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE).
Certification:
Active RDMS certification in Abdominal and OB/GYN required.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of professional diagnostic medical sonography experience.
Technical Skills:
Vascular imaging experience strongly preferred.
Clearance:
Must successfully complete pre-employment health and background requirements.
