Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations of Western Lowbeds a specialized & superload transportation company.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with various teams including logistics fleet management and drivers to optimize transportation processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure quality services at competitive rates.
- Lead and mentor a team of operational staff to drive productivity and achieve company goals.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline communication and enhance overall operations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics or related field.
- Proven experience in operations management within the transportation industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in analyzing data and making strategic decisions based on insights.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing transportation operations.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role overseeing operational functions.
- Experience in optimizing logistics processes and driving operational efficiency.
- Previous exposure to specialized transportation superload handling or heavy haul services.
- Familiarity with route planning permit requirements and load securement for oversized cargo.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary range for the Operations Manager position at Western Lowbeds is between $110000 to $125000 per year with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
