Job Summary
An exceptional opportunity awaits a dedicated and inspiring leader to join the Mayo Clinic Outpatient Section of Social Work as a Supervisor. Our dynamic strong welcoming and patient centered team of licensed clinical social workers is committed to supporting patients assisting them and removing barriers as they navigate care across our campus and off-site locations. This pivotal role as Social Work Supervisor offers the chance to significantly impact our teams growth and success. You will lead mentor and inspire our dedicated social workers fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Collaborating closely with the Social Work Manager the Education Specialist and other key stakeholders you will champion team development education training and technology initiatives.
This unique role combines leadership with direct clinical practice. As a supervisor you will oversee the Social Work Section while also maintaining a clinical workload. You will provide expert guidance and support to team members ensuring their clinical practice aligns with the needs of the respective medical specialties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive supervision direction and guidance to the Social Work Team.
- Analyzes work processes to improve outcomes and services.
- Manages staffing schedule and assignments.
- Oversees the orientation and performance management of staff.
- Participates in section/practice group planning and special projects.
- Serves as OP Social Work leadership representative for Florida and enterprise workgroups.
- Participates in interview panels for new hires performance appraisals and coaching opportunities.
- Adheres to the NASW Code of Ethics and NASW Standards for Social Work Practice in Healthcare Settings.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position you must possess a masters degree in social work and at least three years of social work experience in a medical setting.
Licensure/Certification
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license from the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling is required. Candidates with LCSW in states outside of Florida may be considered but will be required to obtain Florida licensure prior to start date.
