Overview
Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is looking for a virtual Spanish interpreter. As a member of our network of Independently Contracted Interpreters you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the local community in a variety of settings including educational medical social services and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide Spanish-English interpreting for virtual school meetings virtual parent-teacher conferences virtual medical appointments and more
- Provide superior customer service
- Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
- Adhere to all policies and procedures including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
Qualifications/Experience
- Full fluency in both English and Spanish
- Daytime availability (between the hours of 9AM - 5PM EST)
- Availability to support our interpreting clients 5 - 10hours a week
- Reliable internet and laptop/tablet to access virtual appointments
- 1 - 2years of professional interpreting experience preferred but not required
- Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI CCHI etc.) but not required
- Candidates mustbe willing to get a background check including Federal State and Child Abuse Registry
- Must have reliable phone service for contact
- Must be comfortable with using a computer or smart phone for job input
