Description

Responsibilities

Conduct day-to-day tasks supporting molecular biology and fermentation R&D teams
Perform general laboratory support duties including media and plate preparation
Restock laboratory supplies
Clean and sterilize glassware
Collect and autoclave laboratory waste
Maintain lab support and common areas
Apply sterile techniques and follow strong biosafety practices
Perform tasks with minimal direct supervision after training
Use basic math skills for daily laboratory activities
Perform routine upkeep and cleaning of scientific equipment
Become familiar with the general function of multiple laboratory instruments
Participate in rotational weekend work typically collecting samples for other scientists
