Duties:
- Leads and manages the clinical team for the MSO and APCS entity.
- Supervising daily clinical operations within the agency and is responsible for developing and maintaining quality standards to improve outcomes and meet licensing and accreditation but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the delivery of nursing care to clients according to professional standards
- Managing compliance with corporate regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Developing and implementing facility policies procedures and standards of care
- Assigning adequate and appropriate staffing for all shifts within state guidelines
- Leading and providing direction to staff in performing their duties
- Hiring supervising and reviewing the performance of nurse managers nurses and support staff and providing remediation when needed
- Managing facility operations business planning and productivity standards Meeting fiscal responsibilities through budget planning implementation and monitoring
- Overseeing inventory order processing and distribution of nursing and medical supplies
- Serving as a liaison between administration multidisciplinary healthcare staff residents and families and resolving conflicts as needed
- Register RN license with the DCAReview and oversee all contracts with insurance companies home care companies and state or county agencies.
- Assist as needed with arranging for the appropriate data to be gathered for insurance companies when requests are made for information to be sent to them for their records.
- Establish outcome criteria for the Clinical Indicators within the Performance Improvement program ensure data is collected monitor and report results. Implement action plans and take necessary steps to maintain compliance.
- Monitor Infection Control plan execute polices and ensure TM compliance. Lead annual in-service program and training for CHHA team members.
- Register with the DCA for CHHA training programs. Review all potential clients for admission and level of care Conduct TM orientation and skills assessments for CHHA and nurses
- Develop and maintain high tech training and competencies for field staff.
- Coordinate with office manager to review all required pre hire medical documentationMonitor the collection storage and archiving of client medical records.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise MSO nursing team members
- Orient and mentor Case managers and field nurses
- Oversee MD orders supervisory visits insurance authorizations/approvals care plans medication profiles assessments reassessments admission paperwork discharge paperwork case conferences and departmental / staff meetings.
- Serve as Acting Administrator in the absence of the Director
- Work with all MSO team members and provide guidance to administrative service coordinators
- Oversee and visit all private duty nursing cases on at least an annual basis. Visit all clinically acute/high tech private duty nursing cases within first 48 hours.
- Supervise field case managers and conduct training and annual evaluations
- Assign all discharge as supervisory and clinical support resource to field staff nurses and visit as necessary.
- Teach CHHA training class and secure licensure for same
