Job Title: Layout Inspector
Job Summary:
The Layout Inspector is responsible for performing precision inspections and verifications of
machined and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings specifications
and industry standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining quality assurance by
utilizing advanced measuring tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers
micrometers height gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles in
verifying part accuracy.
Read and analyze engineering drawings blueprints and technical documentation to
ensure compliance with design specifications.
Document inspection results and generate reports detailing findings deviations and
necessary corrective actions.
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and
recommend process improvements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality control procedures.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in precision inspection layout inspection or quality control in a
manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and interpreting GD&T.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with CMM programming and operation is a plus.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
$25-28/hr
Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm w/OT Saturday 7am-12noon
