The role of the Physical Therapist involves conducting comprehensive evaluations and delivering therapeutic interventions in accordance with established clinical protocols for a population that ranges from pediatric to geriatric patients.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting thorough evaluations of patients health status and specific needs formulating treatment plans and developing both short- and long-term goals in collaboration with the referring provider patients their families or caregivers and interdisciplinary team members.
- Implementing and assessing the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions according to departmental guidelines.- Educating patients families caregivers and relevant team members to optimize the achievement of established therapeutic objectives.
- Delivering care that is tailored to the patients age physical capabilities and cognitive development.
- Ensuring that documentation is accurate timely and adheres to departmental standards.
- Communicating succinctly with interdisciplinary team members referring providers and insurance or case managers about patient progress needs and discharge planning.
- Delegating appropriate therapeutic tasks to therapy assistants providing oversight and direction to ensure effective treatment delivery.
- Conducting re-evaluations in collaboration with therapy assistants in alignment with departmental policies.- Accurately completing billing processes on a daily basis.
- Efficiently scheduling patient appointments in coordination with administrative staff.
- Engaging in departmental and institution-wide educational initiatives for ongoing professional development.
- Delivering at least one departmental in-service related to continuing education participation.
- Contributing as a clinical instructor mentor or role model in the Rehab Departments student program as applicable.
- Involvement in at least one departmental project quality improvement initiative or committee.
- Complying with all safety protocols and procedures outlined by the facility and the rehab department and reporting any incidents falls adverse drug reactions or equipment concerns in accordance with hospital policies.
- Participating in the formulation and adherence to the departments mission values and foundational guidelines.
Requirements for this position include:
- A Bachelors Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (mandatory).
- Preferred experience: 1-2 years in a relevant clinical setting.
- Active licensure in the State of New Hampshire (mandatory).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
Certification Requirements:
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- State License Requirements: New Hampshire (Compact Status allowed)
- Note: The NH license must be active at the time of application.
