The Opportunity
This position is fully remote and primarily focused on the Western Canadian market. Candidates may work from Québec City Montréal Calgary or Vancouver.
Assumption Life is looking for a qualified Investment Sales Advisor to join its Sales and Marketing team.
This person must be skilled at building strong business relationships with a strong customer focus. This person plays an essential role in the business lines results in the regions assigned to them working closely with the Quebec Business Development Directors.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the achievement of sales targets
- Learn and master the details of our product and service offering
- Understand the needs issues and/or desires of our distributors and communicate opportunities for improvement internally.
- In collaboration with the team proactively communicate with advisors to inform them about Assumption Lifes various products.
- Inside sales support
- Onboarding process for all new brokers.
- Facilitate training sessions on our range of investment products.
- Provide portfolio performance comparisons and present our fund offering to advisors as required.
- Occasionally attend external events in collaboration with business development managers such as MGA seminars and promotional/training events organized by Assumption Life.

What youll need
Qualifications
- College or university degree in business administration or related field
- 5 years experience in the financial services or investements.
- 3 years of experience in sales (internal or external) of investement products
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
- Sales negotiation and networking skills
- Creativity to identify new opportunities and establish rapid growth
- Hold a life and health insurance license.
- In-depth knowledge of the investment environment and the ability to compare investment portfolios using tools such as CapIntel.
- Knowledge of the brokerage market and MGAs is an important asset.
