- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients speech language cognitive-communication and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement personalized evidence-based treatment plans.
- Deliver direct therapy to enhance speech production language comprehension and expression articulation voice quality fluency and swallowing function.
- Utilize a range of interventions including oral motor therapy AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) strategies and cognitive-communication rehabilitation
- Support patients caregivers and families with education coaching and home carryover strategies to maximize treatment effectiveness
- Assist patients with equipment and device recommendations (e.g. AAC tools assistive technologies)
- Maintain accurate timely clinical documentation (assessments treatment plans progress notes discharge summaries).
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary care team to ensure patients receive holistic support
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (community or clinical experience an asset)
- Experience with a variety of assessment tools and therapy techniques
- Strong skills in developing delivering and adjusting therapy plans based on patient progress
- Valid Ontario drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
