Austal Ships is seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer to join our In Service Support team in Cairns. This is a two-year fixed-term role where youll contribute to the development and implementation of technical solutions that address engineering challenges. Your work will play a key role in maximizing operational availability of Naval and Government marine assets ensuring they remain mission-ready and efficient.

Whats Involved
- Prepare engineering documentation including maintenance and repair plans technical instructions risk assessments deviation reports problem resolution requests and engineering change proposals.
- Provide expert engineering advice to support project objectives.
- Develop detailed technical instructions to guide maintenance and repair activities.
- Conduct technical risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential issues.
Youll Need
- Formal degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline recognised by Engineers Australia as being suitable for registration in the Professional Engineer category - Electrical Mechanical or Naval Architecture
- Eligible to hold a security clearance
- Competent in Microsoft office and standard engineering software
