Your role and responsibilities

Are you ready to make a real difference in Suffolks communities Were looking for an enthusiastic person to help demonstrate how libraries can support the NHS integrated care agenda. Based mainly at Brandon Library youll coordinate the development of a Social Prescribing Hub working closely with the local Primary Care Network and a range of partners.

Youll build strong relationships with social prescribers library staff and local stakeholders helping to raise the profile of health wellbeing and cultural activities. Youll support and train library staff organise meetings and help deliver creative and sustainable project activities. Youll also contribute to communications monitor finances and support project evaluation.

You will need

  • Level 3 qualifications (with Level 2 English and Maths) or equivalent relevant experience.

  • A track record of coordinating projects in community settings.

  • Be confident working with people from all backgrounds.

  • Understand the positive impact of social prescribing.

  • Strong IT skills attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

The team

You will be contributing to the delivery of the Wellbeing service within Suffolk Community Libraries working as part of our Cultural Programmes team as well as with library and public health colleagues to ensure consistent project delivery across the library service.

The role will be primarily based in West Suffolk within Brandon library as well as surrounding libraries. It will involve working with key partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality wellbeing services to local communities.
