Purpose of the Job
Responsible for performing all sales activity for designated small to medium sized accounts in the European region. Sales function is performed by maintaining customer relationships primarily via phone e-mail and as required occasional face-to-face. New inquiries will be evaluated with corresponding Manager & Snr Manager and addressed or directed to the appropriate Sales Manager or distribution.
Key Accountabilities
- facilitate entire sales representative activity (from lead generation/follow up to contract closure - excluding customer service and transactional activities) for designated accounts
- evaluate new inquiries (all channels) and direct to the responsible party
- works with Snr Mgr Sales FHC&II Sales Managers and Marketing Manager on pricing
- establishes and maintains contact with designated customers including networking within industry associations
- responds to incoming customer inquiries on products
- assists customers with general information (list price quotes technical documentation samples)
- maintains accurate and complete customer files for historical documentation
- quality questionnaires and certificates for customers
- late payments reminders: information to customers and follow-up
- claims and reimbursements: follow-up in conjunction with CSR
- back-up of Sales Manager positions upon absences where required
- support market analysts with market research andregional Sales Manager with Marketing and Sales related admin tasks
Formal Education
- Bachelor degree in business or commercial education at chemical or similar industry with advanced business training
Required personal and professional skills
- previous sales experience customer focus and customer satisfaction mindset
- ability to establish and maintain strong relations with customers
- strong in communication and negotiation skills
- technical understanding of products sufficient to answer initial questions
- diligence to maintain customer files and data
- very good command of written and spoken English and German
- MS Office mandatory ideally experience and understanding of SAP and CRM systems
