About the Role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for directing and overseeing all financial activities of TNA globally including the preparation and consolidation of current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth.
They will also be responsible for overseeing and implementing a standard costing model within TNA globally and ensuring this is implemented properly within our ERP system (D365 Finance and Operations)
This role is based in Sydney Australia reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding company personnel and financial information
- Consolidates all subsidiary financial statements with overall reporting to Leadership Team
- Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organizations financial status
- Responsible for the direct management of staff within the Australian Finance IT & Administration operations as well as dotted line reports from other TNA branches
- Ensures monthly analysis of actual versus budgeted sales expenses and cash flow and variances are received from all subsidiaries / regions
- Analyses TNAs global operation to identify opportunities and areas that require addressing
- Establish internal controls and compliance procedures for all financial matters
- Ensure successful integration of all new business / subsidiaries into the TNA group
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.
- Actively contributes to the strategic direction of the business
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the audit comply with global local state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Work with all Manufacturing entities to define the elements of our standard costs globally
- Develop a standard costing policy and standard costs for materials direct and indirect labour engineering and relevant overhead costs
- Validate the Cost of Goods Sold as part of the month end close.
- Develop and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
- Ensure Inventories and WIP are properly valued
- Develop reporting on gross margins and significant variations compared to standard costing
- Develop documented process on the standard costing model and train the business on standard costing and analysis of variances
- Other tasks / duties as reasonably requested
Desired Knowledge Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant with CA or CPA qualifications
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role with managing a complex geographically diverse team
- Experience and a high-level understanding in a functioning cost accounting manufacturing environment is essential
- Exposure to the food or packaging industry is desirable but not mandatory
- Sound knowledge of generally accepted global accounting theories principles methods and practices
- Able to analyse and communicate qualitative and quantitative data and prepare financial statements and reports
- Able to execute and meet deadlines ensuring & emphasising attention to detail
- Operate computerise accounting spreadsheet and inventory software at a highly proficient level
- Managing staff with various personalities abilities and disciplines and ensuring team cohesion
- Requires awareness of economic trends and future prospects to enable future growth in overall sales and market share opportunities for acquisitions or expansion into new product areas. Estimates requirements for capital land buildings etc.
- Requires knowledge of international reporting standards especially US GAAP

- Solid staff management abilities with a global team
- Able to deliver information using different methods and ensuring that messages have been received and understood
- Logical pragmatic and able to think outside the square
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and problem-solver
- Able to provide excellent customer service experiences building strong relationships internally and externally

- Prepared to travel at short notice locally and overseas including some week-ends
