Job Summary

The CAD Designer is responsible for preparing accurate detailed and high-quality computer-aided design (CAD) drawings to support engineering architectural or construction projects. Working remotely this role collaborates with engineers architects project managers and other stakeholders to translate design concepts and specifications into technical drawings that meet project requirements industry standards and regulatory guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop modify and maintain CAD drawings layouts and technical plans

Interpret design sketches specifications and engineering calculations

Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes standards and organizational drafting practices

Coordinate with engineers architects and project teams to incorporate design changes

Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy completeness and consistency of drawings

Maintain organized electronic drawing files and version control

Support design reviews revisions and project documentation

Assist with the preparation of construction documents and as-built drawings

Adhere to project schedules and deliverables in a remote work environment

Participate in continuous improvement of drafting standards and processes


Required Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Drafting Engineering Technology Architecture or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 35 years of experience as a CAD Designer or Drafter

Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Revit Civil 3D SolidWorks or similar tools

Strong understanding of drafting standards symbols and conventions

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in architectural structural civil mechanical or electrical design

Familiarity with BIM workflows and collaboration tools

Experience working on commercial industrial or infrastructure projects

Knowledge of U.S. building codes and construction documentation standards


Annual Compensation:

Salary Range: $60000 $90000 per year based on experience software proficiency and technical specialization
