About the Portfolio

The Operations Portfolio enables an integrated enterprise-wide delivery for best practice student and staff experiences.

The Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Projects and Business Performance (EPBP) Communications Experience Human Resources Information and Technology Services (ITS) Office of the Chief Operating Officer Procurement and Property Services Group (PSG).

The Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups. The Portfolio is integral in bringing the RMIT strategy to life across the of these functions supports the global operations of the University both directly as well as through its controlled entities.

The Information Technology Services (ITS) functionprovides RMIT University with current and emerging Technology systems and services. Our vision of unleashing technologies to enable great experiences for RMIT Audiences supports a proactive and leading-edge technology ecosystem mindset and delivery empowering the advancement of the Universitys commitment to advancing Lifelong Learners.

Werelooking for someone with strong experience in leading complex initiatives who can confidently manage risks and issues support teams through technical challenges and provide transparent reporting and insights along the way.

  • Embed quality early and consistently across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle.

  • Drivemodern QA practices including automation-first approaches

  • Partner with Enterprise QA and peer QA Managers to ensure seamless alignment

  • Improve transparency ofquality and risk datato support decision-making

  • Uplift capability across a mixed workforce of permanent and contingent staff

  • Influence across complex governance environments and changing delivery teams

About you

  • A senior QA leader who delivers a unified scalable QA strategy embedded early across all initiatives supported by strong governance that enables delivery rather than slowing it

  • Provides clear trusted quality and risk insights that actively inform senior leadership and portfolio decision-making

  • Drives improved automation maturity and modern quality engineering practices across complex delivery environments.

  • Brings portfolio or multi-program QA leadership experience within complex multi-vendor enterprise settings

  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and delivery leaders with a pragmatic governance-aware approach to modernisation

  • Ensures consistent QA capability and ways of working across vendors and teams uplifting quality maturity at scale

  • Motivated by strategic influence over portfolio-wide quality and a visible leadership role aligned to enterprise direction
