Data Analyst ESG

This role reports to the Group Sustainability Director. Hybrid role.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive member to join our this Global role you will be responsible for gathering accurate reliable and timely data from various sources to support our Planet and People goals across our business and suppliers. This includes data on environmental and social impact Diversity Equity and Inclusion as well as supplier management data.
You will collect and transform this data into clear compelling visual stories that drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making.
You will also be responsible for responding to requests for information (RFIs) from clients. Speed and accuracy of response is of the essence. This is currently an ad hoc process involving multiple subject area specialists across the business. With support from these stakeholders you will streamline and centralise our approach and deliver responses in a timely and accurate manner.
What you will do in this role
Undertake Data Projects for Reporting including:
GHG emissions data collection from M&C Saatchi businesses
Planet & People metrics and wider ESG data collection
Clean Planet and People Positive Campaigns data (including liaising with project owners to clarify and classify data)
Build macro picture of data and trends across our Planet and People Commitments
ESG Supplier Engagement:
Lead proactive engagement with suppliers to drive alignment with MC Saatchis sustainability goals. This includes:
Risk-based assessments of supplier performance against environmental social and governance criteria and identifying gaps or areas for improvement
Proactive outreach to collect data from suppliers
Working with suppliers to develop and track corrective action and continuous-improvement plans providing guidance and tools where needed
Collaborating with Procurement team to embed responsible sourcing practices integrating ESG requirements into contracts and tender processes and contributing to transparent reporting on supply-chain ESG performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection:
Coordinate and collaborate with different departments to gather data needed for reporting analysis and decision-making.
Data Validation and Accuracy:
Verify the accuracy integrity and reliability of data collected from different sources.
Review data for consistency and resolve any discrepancies or issues before it is used for further analysis.
Ensure that all data collected adheres to company standards policies and any regulatory requirements.
Data Entry and Management:
Enter collected data into appropriate databases spreadsheets or data management systems.
Organize and maintain data in a structured manner to ensure it is easily accessible and retrievable when needed.
Regularly update data and ensure it is kept current and relevant to ongoing projects and analyses.
Reporting and Analysis Support:
Preparing reports summaries and presentations based on the collected data.
Compliance and Confidentiality:
Ensure all data collection processes comply with relevant regulations and company policies especially in areas such as privacy and data protection.
Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive data and ensure it is handled according to company standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with suppliers other departments stakeholders and external partners to gather data and ensure it aligns with project objectives.
Communicate effectively to clarify data requirements and ensure alignment with data collection goals.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for candidates who are committed to making this new role a success and who enjoy working with data. You will be proactive and organised with strong attention to detail. You will be competent in working with spreadsheets and powerpoint to both collect data and present data insights in a visually compelling way.
While existing knowledge of ESG data would be an advantage it is not a requirement for candidates.
Youre good at:
Being tenacious and able to chase suppliers teams and secure data;
Accuracy and attention to detail including during data inputting;
Transforming complex raw data into visually engaging and easy-to-understand charts graphs and infographics.
Designing data visualizations that effectively communicate insights trends and key metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
Strong proficiency in data analysis and data manipulation techniques that simplify complex data and effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Completing projects from start-to-end.
Youll bring with you (experience and qualifications):
Experience of working with data and data visualisation
Strong stakeholder management skills and proven capability to communicate requirements to stakeholders and provide support to deliver them.
Fluent English language skills.
The recruitment process will involve an interview and an in-person assessment test of technical competency in data management processing and visualisation.
