A supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Hillingdon is recruiting an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex additional needs. This role is particularly suited to candidates with experience supporting children with Autism SEMH MLD and sensory needs.
The role will involve working closely with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as supporting small groups within the classroom and specialist intervention spaces. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning regulate emotions and develop independence.

Deliver consistent SEN support tailored to individual pupil needs
Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Assist with sensory activities and structured routines
Help pupils engage with learning tasks and classroom activities
Support communication development and social interaction
Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and behaviour plans
Record observations and contribute to progress reviews
Ensure a safe calm and supportive learning environment
Previous SEN experience in a school or similar setting is highly desirable
Confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
Calm resilient and emotionally intelligent
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to engage in training and professional development
A genuine commitment to supporting children with additional needs
This role is particularly suitable for candidates with backgrounds in SEN education care psychology youth work or behaviour support.
