Market Risk Analyst  (fmd)

Axpo has been operating in the Polish market for over 20 years now. It employs about 260 people and is one of the largest independent offtakers of green energy. Customers in Poland benefit from tailor-made offers for the purchase and supply of energy and gas based on structured and long-term contracts. Axpo Polska also provides services to more than 25000 companies from the small and medium-sized enterprises segment and since April 2020 it has only been offering energy with a certified origin from renewable energy sources. While supporting energy transition in Poland the Company also implements large-scale photovoltaic projects.

Currently we are looking for: Market Risk Analyst

Your responsibilities:

• Lead daily P&L explanation and translate results into key market drivers.

• Monitor and validate market risk metrics such as sensitivities VaR stress tests and scenarios.

• Identify emerging risks and support earlywarning analyses.

• Improve risk processes and controls by identifying gaps and proposing enhancements.

• Collaborate with Front Office Operations Mid Office ETRM/Back Office Quant/Modelling and Finance to ensure highquality data and issue resolution.

• Support pricing hedging and portfolio decisions with clear risk insights.

Our requirements:

• Degree in finance economics engineering math or related field; CFA/FRM a plus.

• 24 years of experience in market risk energy/commodities or financial services.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with quantitative concepts and risk metrics.

• Structured thinking ownership and continuousimprovement mindset.

• Reliable execution and strong communication skills.

• Curiosity problemsolving ability resilience and integrity.

• Fluency in Polish and English.
