About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded IoT Firmware Engineer who can independently develop test and optimize firmware for IoT and automation-based applications. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with ESP32 and similar controllers strong debugging capabilities and a deep understanding of real-time device control and communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop test and optimize firmware for ESP32 STM and Arduino-class microcontrollers.
- Implement automation logic for sensors relays motor drivers and robotic modules.
- Handle MQTT-based device communication including payload parsing and message structuring.
- Perform hardware bring-up functional testing and device-level debugging.
- Collaborate with backend and software engineering teams for protocol and API integration.
- Maintain detailed firmware documentation follow coding standards and manage version control (Git).
- Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous firmware improvements.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong programming knowledge in Embedded C/C.
- Hands-on experience with ESP32 toolchains (Arduino Framework / ESP-IDF).
- Proficiency in MQTT communication JSON payload handling and cloud data exchange.
- Experience in GPIO handling relay interfacing and motor driver control.
- Ability to interface and debug sensors and hardware components.
- Working knowledge of FreeRTOS is an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- IoT automation or robotics-based project experience.
- Prior work experience with ESP32 development boards.
- Development of MQTT-enabled IoT devices or real-time applications.
- Experience in integrating firmware with cloud or backend services.
Soft Skills
- Strong debugging mindset and analytical ability.
- High sense of ownership and accountability in project execution.
- Excellent documentation practices for maintainable firmware.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
