This position offers a salary range of $62220 - $69633/year with potential for advancement up to $96790 based on qualifications equity and hiring guidelines. Initial salary offers are determined by qualifications experience and available budget and typically do not exceed $69633/year.

POSITION DUTIES
The main purpose of this position is the administration of federal and state grants which provide financial assistance for lower income renter households residing in several local jurisdictions on Marylands Eastern Shore.
This position furthers the mission of the department by expanding affordable housing opportunities for lower-income citizens through the implementation of these grant programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Seven years of community assistance experience inresidential or commercial real estate development governmental housing community development or infrastructure development programs including marketresearch planning financial management loan or grant program administration capital projects or project development.

Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in urban planning financial management business or public administration political science economic marketingmanagement science or a related fieldandthree years ofcommunity assistance experience in residential or commercial real estate development governmental housing communitydevelopment or infrastructure development programs including market research planning financial management loan or grant program administration capital projects or project development for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute graduate credit hours in urban planning financial management business or public administration political science economics marketing management science or a closely related field on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Business and Industry job family or Business and Industry job codes ona year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience preparing reports and relative documentation in accordance with Housing and Urban Development guidelines.
- Experience submitting compliance reports and tracking program metrics through Housing and Urban Development secure systems.
- Experienceadministering Housing Choice Voucher programs including eligibility determination subsidy calculations and client counseling.
LICENSES REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operators license valid in the State of Maryland.
