Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY/CLASS DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION:
The Adventure Shack and Rentals Manager oversees the daily management of the Adventure Shack and Boat Rental Operation located in Centennial Park where park patrons may purchase food general store items and rent boats (canoes kayaks paddleboats fishing kayaks and jon boats with trolling motors). Managers are selected for their customer service skills supervisory experience and knowledge of concessions and boat rentals. Experience in canoeing kayaking register/point of sale and customer service highly preferred. Previous experience driving a motorboat required. Applicants must be at least age 20 years of age. Managers average 35-45-hours per week. Salaries vary based on position and qualifications. This is a seasonal job that runs April-September and includes weekend hours and holidays. The Adventure Shack & Rentals is open weekends April through September including Memorial Day and Labor Day and Wednesday-Sunday in June July and August.

- LifesavingandCPRcertificationspreferred.
- CompletionofMaryland SafeBoatingCourse.
- Havesoundjudgementandriskmanagement skills.
- Working weekends and holidays are a must.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
in boat rental operations. Completed Maryland Safe Boating Certificate course. First Aid/CPR Certified.
Level I: 1 to 2 years experience with boat operations (Paraprofessional)
Level II:2 to 3 years experience with boat operations (Paraprofessional)
Level III: 4 years experience with boat operations (Paraprofessional)
RATE OF PAY: Contingent - Salary commensurate with experience and certification(s)
Level I:$18.00 - $22.00/hour (Paraprofessional)
Level II:$21.00 - $23.00/hour (Paraprofessional)
Level III:$23.00 - $32.00/hour (Professional)
