Job Summary
Full-Time - Shipping & Receiving Clerk
$16-$19/hr. - Buchanan MI
Job Duties:
- Pick pack and ship customer orders according to company procedures
- Use computer hardware and software to create shipping documents and generate labels
- Complete and verify all required paperwork for FedEx UPS and LTL shipments
- Ensure products are delegated to the correct courier
- Arrange finished products using FIFO methodology
- Move short-dated finished products into inactive inventory
- Perform monthly inventory checks
- Receive and inspect incoming raw materials and finished products
- Put away incoming products in the correct location
- Handle returned products and verify condition
- Unload and load freight using manual pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Build repair and crate skids as required
- Assist with assembly of products when needed
- Prepare shipper cartons boxes and skids as needed
- Review and report equipment condition for upkeep and maintenance
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning of designated work areas
- Maintain and organize adequate shipping supplies
- Assist in other areas as needed and perform additional tasks assigned by management
Requirements:
- Must have knowledge of FedEx UPS and LTL shipments and related paperwork.
- Ability to lift and or move up to 50lbs. throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to stand walk bend and stoop.
- Ability to perform manual tasks requiring hand use such as handling touching and feeling items.
- Specific vision abilities required for various jobs include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions.
