Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (Adult)

Position Overview
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care emergency department. This role requires strong clinical judgment the ability to manage critical and trauma patients and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and safe patient outcomes.
Scheduling & Coverage
Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
RTO/Special scheduling requests: Must be submitted at time of submission
Call-off policy: Facility may cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week contract without penalty
First-time travelers: Accepted
Local candidates: RNs within a defined local radius are not accepted
Licensure & Certifications
Active New York State RN license (single state; compact licenses not accepted)
BLS ACLS NIHSS required
Pending licenses not accepted
Required Clinical Skills & Experience
IV therapy including blood product administration central line care phlebotomy and IV initiation/maintenance
Administration and management of IV vasopressors
CPAP BiPAP and ventilator management
Stroke (CVA) neuro-trauma spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury care
Cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Adult and pediatric emergency care including orthopedic trauma and gunshot wounds
Isolation precautions and emergency triage
Pediatric spinal cord injury experience
Unit Details & Floating
Patient ratios: Approximately 1:5
Patient population: Adults and geriatrics with all emergency-type diagnoses
Floating: Required within scope of practice and skill set
Special equipment includes warming devices rapid infusers and safe patient handling equipment
Documentation & Attire
EPIC EMR experience required
Scrub color: Any combination of navy blue and white
