Your role as a Pharmacy Technician
In the Full-Time Pharmacy Technician role at Southwest Health System Inc. you will play a crucial part in supporting our skilled Pharmacist by accurately filling physician orders for a variety of medications including oral rectal topical and injectable forms. You will also have the exciting opportunity to mix IV admixture solutions utilizing aseptic technique in our state-of-the-art Laminar Air Flow hood. Your responsibilities will extend to typing labels preparing and filing charge slips and engaging in various related duties that ensure our pharmacy runs smoothly and efficiently. Working under the auspices of the Pharmacists license you will gain invaluable experience while contributing to superior patient care. To thrive as a Full-Time Pharmacy Technician at Southwest Health System Inc. youll need a blend of essential skills and qualifications that ensure your success in this dynamic role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Regulatory/Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education experience or subsequent training.
- Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Current BLS certification.
Language Skills:
- Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills.
