We are seeking a National Account Manager to join our Merchant Benefits team.

In this role you will be responsible for managing and amplifying strategic commercial relationships with FMCG retailers and other chains in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Your primary objective is to drive business performance by establishing nurturing and maintaining robust commercial partnerships with merchants who accept Edenreds benefits solutions. Our portfolio includes collaborations with major retailers both in-home and out-of-home as well as well-known global and local chains.

More specifically you will be responsible for:

  • Building strategic Accounts and Channel plans in collaboration with the Merchant Director

  • Cultivating multi-stakeholder relationship with key partners

  • Assessing the needs and business drivers of specific retailers/chains and translate insights into tailored annual plans that optimize partner visibility shopper traffic and turnover

  • Cross-selling our solutions among existing partners across both geographies

  • Driving the innovation agenda

  • Negotiating new and existing agreements to establish sustainable long-term partnerships

  • Monitoring execution and when required intervene internally as SPOC to ensure everyday excellent operational delivery

  • Analyzing data and leverage trends to accelerate growth

  • Understanding the broader market dynamics trends in shopper behavior and user preferences to secure growth and maintain a competitive edge

  • Accelerating the journey from transactional collaborations towards true partnerships with strategic retailers and chains

  • Supporting the team responsible for merchant partner administration

  • Working in close collaboration with the Marketing Go To Market & Communication team Finance Data IT & Support teams to ensure delivery of our strategic growth agenda

  • Collaborating with the Business Lines Centre of Excellence and become an active member of the Global Merchant community

WE WILL VIBE WITH YOU

  • You hold a Masters degree

  • You have a minimum of 8 years experience in Sales and have at least successfully managed a Top-3 retailer in Belgium and have managed another chain/account

  • You are a results-driven manager and aim for high performance with a track record of overachieving targets whilst building long-term partnership with retailers

  • You have strong analytical skills and have experience in data driven sales preferable a skill you mastered working in a role as trade category manager commercial finance business partner or a similar role

  • You are a skilled negotiator an excellent relation builder and hands-on sales professional

  • You have a strong experience in building strategic (account) plans

  • You are passioned by digital marketing media and consumer trends

  • You have an affinity with innovations and a genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence

  • Your speak fluently French or Dutch and you master the other language. You have at least a professional level in English

  • Experience as project manager is considered a plus

  • Knowledge of a CRM Power BI and other solutions is a plus

  • You are a true team player and an expert in communication

  • You report directly to the BeLux Merchant Director

  • You are part of the Management community with regular meetings with the members of the local Edenred BeLux Board

  • Permanent full-time contract (38 hours/week)

  • Location: Brussels (Auderghem)
