Job Description

Home Health Aides at Senior Helpers provide personal care services for our clients that enable them to safely and comfortably remain in their homes. Duties include helping clients with personal care tasks such as bathing dressing eating grooming and toileting. Examples include:

• Companionship (playing games talking going for walks)
• Light housekeeping including laundry
• Meal planning and preparation
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as showering eating and grooming
• Transfer assistance between bed chairs wheelchairs etc.
• Transportation to appointments and errands
• Medication reminders

Qualifications Needed:

• Previous professional experience (with an agency or a care facility) providing personal care services.
• Valid drivers license or government-issued photo ID
• Clear Level 2 Background Screen from the State of Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA). Information about the Level 2 background screen can be found here: Clearinghouse Education and Awareness
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have an active CPR certification form an in-person hands-on course.
• Reliable transportation to and from shifts
• Excellent communication skills with a kind caring and compassionate demeanor
