At Axis Communications were dedicated to creating a smarter and safer world! Join our team in developing innovative products and features using cutting-edge technologies. Were seeking an Experienced Firmware Engineer for our Fixed Dome Firmware team at our HQ in Lund Sweden.
Your Future Team
As a Firmware Engineer youll play a crucial role in developing our new network video products. Youll collaborate with various functions like Linux Platform software image quality mechanical design electronics and production test.
Our Fixed Dome Firmware team consists of both junior and senior engineers working in an agile and open environment. Youll take ownership of projects and share responsibility for meeting the delivery targets.
What youll do here as an Experienced Firmware Engineer
Develop network video devices in our product development projects
Configure and adopt AXIS OS our Linux-based OS for next-gen products
Analyse design and write software for upcoming product features
Solve complex problems in a large code base from Linux kernel drivers to applications
Optimise embedded system performance
Contribute to improving our teams workflow
Launch new competitive products and solutions
Who are we looking for
We seek a team player who loves challenges is curious passionate about technology and enjoys problem-solving in a team-focused atmosphere. You should have a personal drive and thrive in an environment of openness creativity trust commitment playfulness and encouragement. You should also enjoy investigating and working with different kinds of problems in different areas of the code base.
Wed love to hear that you have/are:
An engineering bachelors or masters degree in computer science physics mathematics electrical engineering or equivalent
5 years of relevant work experience
Linux system programming user space kernel space and device drivers knowledge
Experienced with C and/or C programming
Familiar with agile methodologies
Its a bonus if you also have experience in/with:
Debug tools (GDB Valgrind)
Scripting (shell Python Perl)
Low-level programming (Micro Controllers)
Continuous integration version control (Git) build tools
Yocto
Using AI tools (e.g. GitHub co-pilot) in your daily work
