As the Department Manager youll take the reins of daily operations in one of NZs most advanced facilities driving innovation technology and excellence that sets the standard for roadworks in the region. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a dedicated asphalt plant team delivering safe high-quality and efficient production.

  • Oversee all plant operations: scheduling maintenance performance and productivity.

  • Champion Fulton Hogans safety culture ensuring compliance at every level.

  • Build strong relationships with staff contractors and clients.

  • Promote continuous improvement in production processes and quality standards.

  • Effectively manage budgets resources and departmental reporting.

  • Drive and support the development of best-practice initiatives.

About You

Were on the lookout for someone who is results-driven collaborative and naturally proactive. Youll have proven experience leading teams in the asphalt quarrying or construction materials industries and a solid understanding of plant operations. You will also have:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Commitment to health safety and quality in every task.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or trade background advantageous.
