We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering/Computer Science student with a focus on developing software. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-performance applications and will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

What You Will Do:

• Design develop test deliver and maintain software for complex systems and applications
• Work with talented teams of engineers architects and leaders in an Agile environment.
• Functional analysis of real world and test data
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ensure technical correctness timeliness and quality of deliverables.
• Work alongside other members of the software team to analyze and develop software verification test cases and procedures.

What You Will Learn:

• A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures.
• Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
• Software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelors program in Computer Science Computer Engineering Statistics Applied Mathematics or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to provide input to presentations to non-technical participants.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience developing GUI software using Java.
• Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology.
• Experience with tools such as Confluence Eclipse Jira Jenkins Junit and Rational Team Concert.
• Excellent communications skills verbal and written with technical customer and senior leadership audiences.
• Self-motivated.
• Proven ability and desire to facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Experience in software development.
• Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues.
• Familiarity withMS Office.
• GPA of 3.0 in a 4.0 grade scale.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
