Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications
Masters Degree in Education with at least 18 graduate credits in the area of instruction (e.g. Early Childhood Education Child Development) Montessori credentialed at the primary level (ages 3-6) from a MACTE approved training program ( AMI or AMS ) Completion of a state-approved teacher preparation program in Early Childhood Education (Birth to Grade 3) or K-6 with Preprimary Endorsement A minimum of 3 years full time experience as the lead teacher or teacher of record in an early childhood Montessori classroom Knowledge of a broad variety of early childhood education theories curriculum and program models Knowledge of and commitment to anti-bias and anti-racist pedagogy and curriculum

Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral level degree in Education or related field American Montessori Society ( AMS ) certified Current or past professional license that align(s) with available courses Critical self-reflective pedagogy and anti-oppressive practice experience Experience teaching and mentoring diverse populations Experience working with non-traditional adult college students Experience delivering instruction in both face-to-face and online learning environments Experience supervising and supporting teachers We seek creative adaptable staff who enjoy working in a university climate that promotes cultural diversity multicultural understanding and cultural fluency.
