Job Summary
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Maintain Application functionality.
- Develop deep understanding of Honeywell Smart Cities Applications functionality to ensure proper user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate deliverables.
- Perform functional testing to confirm feature accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Work closely with development teams to understand application functionality and architecture.
- Provide feedback and insights from support activities to aid in continuous improvement.
- Participate in design and review meetings to represent the support perspective.
Software Configuration & Testing
- Ensure that applications are properly configured and integrated with existing systems.
- Develop Test Cases & test new releases and updates functionally to ensure they function correctly before deployment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot application problems identifying root causes and implementing solutions for smart cities applications.
- Respond to reported issues during implementation and testing in a timely and efficient manner.
Application Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor application performance and availability using appropriate monitoring tools.
- Proactively identify potential issues and take preventive measures to ensure application stability.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science
- 5-7 years of experience in Software Engineering
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages Java JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols and Network Diagnostics Tools
- Experience in application servers Apache Tomcat NGINX
- General database knowledge and experience in database engines (MS-SQL and PostgreSQL)
- Experience with OS Administration (Linux or Windows)
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Background in leading complex project teams
