Maintains responsibility for overall operation of the clinical laboratory in consultation with and under the direction of Medical Directors (Pathologists) and the Regional Clinical Laboratory Directors. Develops monitors and provides leadership for the financial contracting regulatory accreditation and client services policies procedures for the clinical/anatomic laboratories. Selects appropriate instrumentation or test methodologies develops and maintains appropriate Quality Assurance (QA) program monitors testing and QA processes including recording and reporting of results. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

This is an EXEMPT role 5 x8s 8am to 4:30pm Day Shift M - F but will require some flexibility to support staff in emergency situations after hours. Valid CA CLS license is required. ASCP or NCA certification is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience (5 preferred). One year of leadership experience preferred. Must be a Generalist and Work Experience:Bachelors Degree in medical technology clinical laboratory science biological sciences chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent: RequiredMasters Degree: PreferredFive years clinical laboratory experience: PreferredOne years leadership experience: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of employment: Required in CACurrent certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA): Preferred in CA and HI
