Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Social Studies Head of Department (HOD) Primary Campus to lead our faculty in delivering an engaging and well-structured curriculum aligned with CBSE guidelines. The ideal candidate will oversee lesson planning mentor teachers and implement effective instructional strategies to enhance students understanding of history geography civics and environmental studies.
Responsibilities:
- Academic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Social Studies department in the primary section.
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with CBSE standards ensuring interactive and experiential learning.
- Faculty Mentorship: Train and support Social Studies teachers in effective pedagogy classroom engagement techniques and assessment methods.
- Student Learning Enhancement: Monitor student progress identify learning gaps and implement improvement strategies.
- Professional Development: Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance teachers instructional methodologies.
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Ensure effective lesson planning and implementation to make Social Studies engaging and relevant for young learners.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the primary school leadership team parents and other department heads to foster a well-rounded learning environment.
- Activity-Based Learning: Integrate projects role-plays field trips and interactive activities to develop students critical thinking and curiosity about the world.
- Classroom Discipline & Policies: Enforce school policies to maintain a structured and conducive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Master Level: 5 years of teaching experience with a Postgraduate degree in Social Studies or related subjects and . with expertise in primary curriculum planning.
- Developer Level: 9 years of experience with a Postgraduate degree in Social Studies or related subjects and . or . specializing in curriculum development faculty training and academic leadership.
Screening Process:
- Written Test: A subject-specific exam assessing knowledge in Social Studies.
- Proficiency Test: Evaluation of MS Office skills for academic documentation and lesson planning.
- Reading Test: Conducted through Microsoft Teams.
- Leadership & Teaching Demonstration: Candidates will showcase leadership and teaching techniques through a mock classroom session.
Salary: 20000 - 40000 per month

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Education or a related field. Teaching certification. Proven experience as a Primary Social science Teacher (1 - 3) years Excellent Communication Skills. Strong passion for education and fostering a love for Social Science in young learners Should have good knowledge of subject with good experience. Students handling skills in the classroom.
