Job Summary

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Microsoft 365 Engineer to support federal and defense contractor clients. This role will lead migrations into Microsoft 365 GCC High environments and manage security and compliance tooling for organizations that must meet CMMC and NIST standards.

Job Type: Contract-To-Hire (may start Part-Time will be converted to Perm)

Tasks

Perform email migrations from Google Workspace and M365 Commercial into M365 GCC High tenants
Configure and monitor security tools including Intune Defender for Office 365 Sentinel Purview and Entra ID
Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes as needed
Utilize/work with migration tools
Document configurations and maintain compliance postures for client environments
Troubleshoot migration issues and post-migration tenant challenges

Requirements

Mandatory:

Microsoft 365 Proven experience and expertise in M365 administration and migrations
M365 Services Hands-on experience with at least 3-4 of the following: Intune Defender Sentinel Purview Entra ID
Email Migration Experience with email migration tools and methodologies including BitTitan MigrationWiz or native Microsoft tools
Citizenship Must be a US Citizen residing in the United States (required for GCC High access)
Remote Work Experience Comfortable working independently with remote clients
Communication Skills Able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:

GCC High Prior experience or exposure to GCC High environments
Compliance Knowledge Understanding of NIST SP 800-171 or CMMC requirements
Automation Experience using PowerShell for M365 automation

Desired Certifications:

Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
Security or equivalent foundational security certification
