Job Summary

Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Temporary Part-time Teacher Assistant at Oscar Adolphson Primary Valleyview AB.

Successful candidate s responsibilities:

Working with students one-on-one & in small groups in a classroom setting

Teach er Assistant s Qualifications :

Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with children parents and staff
Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teacher and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
Understand and carry out oral and written direction
Work independently with minimal instruction
Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
Respect confidentiality
Practice professionalism with all OAP School students staff administration parents and public
Be aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures

Hours of Work:

6 hours per day/5 days per week

Wage Rate:

$20.15/hour - $28.40/hour depending on qualifications and experience
