Strategic Business Developer Green Industry Transformation
The green industrial transition is driving a historic transformation of society and industry creating significant value economically technologically and environmentally. NCC Green Industry Transformation plays a key role in enabling this transition through large complex and strategically important industrial and infrastructure projects across the Nordics.
We are now looking for a Strategic Business Developer who wants to be at the forefront of identifying shaping and developing new business opportunities that support NCCs long-term growth and profitability.
The Role And Key Responsibilities
As Strategic Business Developer within NCC Green Industry Transformation you will have a central role in realizing the strategy for the business area by identifying and developing business opportunities. You will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders across the business area as well as the whole of NCC combining strong analytical capabilities with a pragmatic hands-on approach.
The role includes driving strategic initiatives developing business cases and supporting managers with fact-based decision-making. You act as a trusted advisor in both business and construction-related matters and contribute actively in detailing and driving the strategic development of Business Area Green Industry Transformation.
The position is located in Luleå Solna Malmö or Göteborg travels to other offices in the business area is required as part of the job from time to time the travel can be significant.
You will:
- Identify existing and new market segments with strong potential for NCC and assess their attractiveness
- Develop and execute approaches to transform identified segments into attractive projects for NCC Green industry Transformation quantifying potential and building networks in- and outside the company for NCC to successfully capture these opportunities
- Drive and deliver defined business opportunities from market understanding to concrete project opportunities
- Build and maintain strong networks with strategy and operational development managers across NCCs business areas
- Coach and support managers in: Business case formulation fact-based and quantitative analysis
- Prepare and present decision material analyses and recommendations to Business Area management CEO Senior Management Team Board and external stakeholders
Your experience and background
We believe you have experience from roles such as strategic business development management consulting commercial development or similar positions within the construction or industrial sector combined with solid hands-on experience from construction projects. You are able to contribute with construction-related and technical solutions understand project delivery and translate customer needs into feasible value-adding concepts for NCC.
You are a confident and analytical professional with strong business acumen and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You combine strategic thinking with execution power and thrive in complex environments where not all data is readily available.
- Academic level equaling a MSc
- Minimum 5 years of experience from the construction industry
- Fluent in English and at least one of the Nordic languages
Requested qualifications
- Broad understanding of construction contracts and project setups (AB contracts negotiation delivery models)
- Strong analytical and hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Coaching and pedagogical capabilities
- An enthusiastic outgoing personality able to be tough with a smile
- Drivers license B
