Job Summary

  • Generate technical work plans and proposals for field assessments site characterizations monitoring and data collection of contaminated soils surface water sediment and groundwater
  • Conduct or support junior staff to interpret water quality data conduct statistical analysis of geologic and groundwater chemistry complete analytical modeling/feasibility studies and develop technical reports
  • Strong understanding of geologic processes and groundwater movement and occurrence in glacial terrains as well as
  • Strong understanding of groundwater geochemistry and the relationship to solid waste and petroleum/regulated substances
  • Ability to support ground water modeling and analysis assessments focused on connections with surface water resources
  • Lead and/or assist multidisciplinary team(s) with analysis and reporting
  • Project management including internal team coordination and direct coordination with clients
  • Demonstrated business development and client relationship development skills
  • Commitments: Fieldwork: Up to 5% and Overnight Travel: Up to 10%

Likely project areas include projects ranging from water resources to solid waste management. Candidate must be willing to travel throughout the state/region for project meetings project management business development related activities and occasional outdoor work to support junior staff.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in an earth science discipline such as geology or hydrogeology with a preference for a Masters degree;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience;
  • Preference for experience working in environmental consulting;
  • Licensure as a Professional Geologist in Minnesota and an ability to expand licensure within our geographic footprint;
  • Prior work experience with industrial sites including solid waste management facilities (preferred).
  • Prior work experience with regulatory agencies within our geographic footprint.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental due diligence projects including support of environmental permitting and compliance assistance.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated willingness to conduct business development detail oriented and well organized.
