In this role students support the commercial and contractual management of subcontracts within a defence-focused Supply Chain environment. These positions provide hands-on experience with pre-contract and bid-phase activities supplier due diligence and cross-functional coordination. Students gain exposure to commercial processes that support mission-critical defence programs including activities spanning multiple lines of business and internal stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Support commercial administration activities for subcontracts across active programs and bid opportunities.
- Assist with pre-contractual and bid-phase subcontract activities including document preparation data entry and organization of supporting materials.
- Draft and update standard subcontract language and prepare documentation for internal review and approval.
- Support supplier due diligence activities including information gathering review and coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development review and enhancement of tools templates and reports used by the Supply Chain Management department and other process improvement initiatives.
- Interface and collaborate with internal departments such as Estimating Finance Engineering Program Management and Commercial Services to support subcontracting activities.
Qualifications :
Required
- Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Supply Chain Management Commerce Finance or a related field.
- Strong organizational analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
Assets
- Previous co-op internship or administrative experience in supply chain procurement contracts or a related business function.
- Exposure to contractual documentation supplier management or commercial processes.
- Interest in defence aerospace or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience supporting process improvement reporting or data-driven initiatives.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $23.08 $32.41. Final compensation will be determined based on your relevant work experience to date. As part of student placement you will be eligible for quarterly pay increases.
