Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Hybrid - Alexandria VA
Hourly Rate: $40.00-$47.50/hour
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
As a senior accountant you will beresponsible for:
- Reconciling and managing balance sheet general ledger accounts for multiple legal entities
- Regularly maintaining detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Recording correcting journal entries including recurring and reversing entries
- Analyzing budget and actual performance to budget for both projects/jobs and SG&A spend
- Reviewing expenses and capital expenditures for accuracy and ensure policy guidelines are followed
- Assisting in the preparation of documentation for external auditors
- Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements
- Interacting with internal departments and outside affiliates to implement accounting system functions
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience
- A strong understanding of general ledger
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a closely related field;
- Ability to use strong analytical problem-solving skills
- NetSuite experience preferred
