Job Summary
Job Title: Locum Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine
Summary
Join a dedicated team at a state-of-the-art Womens Hospital located in Lexington KY. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an outpatient and consult Maternal Fetal Medicine physician. You will be responsible for reading up to 600 ultrasound reports monthly supported by a skilled team including 5 sonographers 1 RN and 1 CMA. This facility is committed to providing exceptional care although its important to note that there are no diabetic educators or endocrinology services available.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct outpatient consultations and procedures including reading ultrasound reports.
- Perform prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
- Provide first trimester nuchal translucency assessments and ultrasonography.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient evaluation and care.
- Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation using EPIC/Viewpoint EMR.
- Manage a patient workload of 15-18 per day ensuring quality of care is upheld.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Completed fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Active state license (IMLC accepted).
- Clean malpractice history is highly preferred; candidates with malpractice cases may be reviewed differently.
- BLS and DEA certification required during credentialing process.
License and Certification Requirements
- Board Certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine (Required).
- State Medical License (consideration for IMLC; Required).
- Fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine (Required).
- Current BLS and DEA certifications during credentialing process (Required).
