Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Flexi Inpatient Pharmacy Technician
Location: Norfolk VA
Status: Flexi (PRN)
Shift: Rotating 8 Hour Shifts
Hours: 6am-11pm (occasional overnight coverage)
Weekends & Holiday Rotation
The Pharmacy Tech performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technicians scope of practice as needed
Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately

A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)
Experience
Pharmacy Experience (preferred)
