Position Summary
THE FOOD RUNNER IS PART OF THE FRONT-OF-HOUSE TEAM AND PLAYS A KEY
ROLE IN ENSURING EACH GUEST ENJOYS AN EXCEPTIONAL DINING EXPERIENCE.
THIS ROLE CONNECTS THE KITCHEN AND SERVICE STAFF BY DELIVERING DISHES
PROMPTLY ACCURATELY AND BEAUTIFULLY. FOOD RUNNERS ARE PART OF THE
TIP POOL AND CONTRIBUTE DIRECTLY TO THE OVERALL GUEST EXPERIENCE.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include but are not limited to the
following:
Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to guests
using the seat numbering system.
Ensure that all dishes are properly garnished plated attractively
and served at the correct temperature.
Maintain complete menu knowledge including ingredients and
modifications to ensure accuracy when running food.
Monitor tables to assist with refilling water clearing plates and
anticipating guest needs.
Support servers and bartenders in providing attentive polished
and friendly service.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure
timely and accurate delivery of orders.
Assist with restocking setting and cleaning tables and service
areas throughout the shift.
Perform assigned side work including cleaning and organization
duties.
Follow all sanitation and safety procedures at all times.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods carrying up to 50
pounds and frequent bending and reaching in a fast-paced environment.
