Service Tech
Job Summary
- Fluid Services: Draining old oil and refilling with new checking/topping off transmission brake power steering and coolant fluids.
- Filter & Wiper Replacement: Changing oil air cabin and fuel filters plus replacing wiper blades.
- Tire Services: Rotating tires checking pressure inspecting tread and sometimes patching.
- Vehicle Inspections: Performing multi-point inspections for leaks worn parts (brakes belts hoses) and other maintenance needs.
- Customer Interaction: Advising customers on recommended services and documenting all work.
- Shop Maintenance: Keeping work areas clean and organized and managing inventory.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use hand tools and perform basic automotive tasks.
- Safety Focus: Strict adherence to safety procedures and proper equipment use.
- Customer Service: Strong communication skills to interact with customers and service advisors.
- Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and manage time effectively.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting and working in various conditions.
Tasks range from basic oil changes to more advanced preventative maintenance as skills grow.
