Job Summary
Location: Monroe MI 48162
Start Date:ASAP
Caregiver Rate:$20.83/hour
We are seeking adependable and compassionate male helperto provide companion care forMr. John Boyd who is living withearly-stage dementia. He is mostly mobile but often lies on the floor and benefits greatly from encouragement engagement and gentle assistance to stay active and motivated.
This role focuses on companionship movement and safety support in a respectful and supportive home environment.
Care Responsibilities
- Provide companion care and meaningful engagement
- Encourage movement and light walking around the home
- Play games and participate in activities to keep him engaged
- Sit with and supervise Mr. Boyd to ensure safety
- Assist him in getting up safely when he is on the floor
Schedule
- Twice per week
- Preferred days:Monday and Wednesday
- 23 hours per visit(between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM)
Helper Preferences
- Patient encouraging and physically able to assist with getting up from the floor
- Experience with dementia care is a plus
