ON SITE PLEASANTON CALIFORNIA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Accountant with 24 years of relevant accounting experience to join our growing team. The Revenue Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with ASC 606 supporting the monthly close process and contributing to process improvements. This role requires strong problem-solving skills a collaborative mindset and a passion for process optimization and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under US GAAP (ASC 606).

- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual revenue journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Work closely with the billing sales operations and legal teams to ensure contracts are reviewed and recorded accurately.

- Process and analyze billing transactions and deferred revenue schedules.

- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities including revenue reporting and variance analysis.

- Assist with external audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

- Identify recommend and implement improvements to revenue accounting policies procedures and systems.

- Participate in cross-functional projects related to new product launches process improvements or system implementations.

- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal policies.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of revenue accounting processes.

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).

- 24 years of experience in revenue accounting general ledger accounting or related role (public accounting and/or SaaS/software industry experience is a plus).

- Knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 experience required).

- Strong analytical skills attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite SAP Oracle or similar preferred).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
