About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Aquaculture Research Technician to support our Research & Technology Development team on our research farm. This role plays a key part in conducting feeding trials supporting R&D experiments monitoring animal health and ensuring high standards of animal welfare. You will work closely with researchers and technical leads to collect data maintain facilities and contribute to the development of new products and solutions in aquaculture nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily checks on trial animals to ensure proper feeding water availability and health status.
- Implement feeding trial protocols and monitor trial progress on the research farm.
- Record accurate daily observations and trial data; prepare summaries for analysis.
- Coordinate sourcing delivery and management of animals and trial feeds.
- Transport supplies manage incoming animals and ensure proper care during transit.
- Implement strict biosecurity measures and comply with all farm SOPs.
- Document animal care records including feeding health observations treatments and procedures.
- Facilitate accurate weighing of trial animals and feeds.
- Report deviations or amendments to protocols promptly.
- Participate in pre-trial preparations and post-trial data reviews.
- Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness of facilities in accordance with protocol.
- Follow all animal welfare and safety regulations.

Willing to stay at the research farm for biosecurity purposes.
Strong attention to detail and high commitment to animal welfare.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in field-based research settings.
Physically able to handle farm activities including lifting equipment handling and extended periods of standing.
Work Conditions
Exposure to farm environments: humidity dust strong odors noise and variable temperatures.
Work may involve handling animals equipment checks and biosecurity protocols.
Personal protective equipment will be provided.
